Youth job seekers follow the activities in the guide to explore their Spark Portrait for strengths and lessons about themselves, explore what they want in a job, compile a list of job of interests and use their Spark Portrait to improve their resume, cover letter, and interview performance.

  • Discover your strengths
  • Explore job possibilities
  • Apply for opportunities
  • Complete the workbook to experience what the job seekers experience and be able to answer questions.
  • Have job seekers sign up for the Lumina Assessment.
  • Optional – Use the ALiGN Toolkit Presentation 1 of 2 to introduce the Lumina Assessment and the process for completing the assignment.
  • Create a lesson plan and notes based on the training option being used.
  • Have the Job seekers complete the workbook as an independent study unit.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with job seekers in which you run through the workbook activities
  • Facilitate a training session, in a classroom or virtual classroom setting, in which you run through the workbook activities.
